Park Ranger positions are now full for the start of the 2024 Field Season.

PARK RANGER: Park Rangers will perform a variety of park operational activities. Responsibilities include regulating access fee compliance, general custodial and park maintenance operations, visitor orientation and guidance for the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Program, along with various trail and habitat work. Park Rangers are the first point of contact, conducting routine checks, interacting with visitors, and promoting safe, responsible access to the area.

Approximate employment dates: April 1 through mid-Nov. Part-time or full-time positions available; will include mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Wage range is $16-$17/hour (contingent on job skills and funding). Full job description (PDF opens in a new tab).

MOUNT AGAMENTICUS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (VOLUNTEER, UNPAID): This Internship Program is a work/learning experience for students interested in environmental education, natural resource protection, stewardship, and parks & recreation management. Mount A provides interns with exceptional outreach and educational opportunities focusing on current conservation issues. Interns will help staff the summit Learning Lodge, develop and present displays, activities, and educational programs that teach the public about wildlife, habitats, and the natural resources found here.

Internship positions require a minimum of a 8-week commitment of 20 hours/week through October. Weekends and some evenings are a must. Exact starting and ending dates will be decided on an individual basis.
