Learning Lodge

The summit Learning Lodge is open to the public from 12 – 4 PM on most Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day Weekend to Indigenous Peoples Day.

The Lodge may be available Monday-Friday from May through October for school and camp groups, as well as other pre-scheduled groups for educational programming. Use our Group Registration form to schedule your visit!

All groups must register in advance. Please fill out the form at least a week in advance of your desired visit date to better ensure staff availability. We’ll do our best to accommodate you!

Guidelines:

    • No food or drink inside the building. Water bottles are okay.
    • No dogs inside. Service animals are welcome and must be on leash.
    • Staff may close the doors if it starts to feel crowded. Please be patient and allow a few minutes for folks to clear out before entering.
    • The Lodge may open late on some Saturdays due to scheduled educational programming. Full day closures will be posted on our website and social media accounts.

More About the Learning Lodge:

Serving as the lodge for the Big A Ski Area from 1964-74, the summit lodge at Mount Agamenticus is now our visitor center, home to a number of educational displays, hands-on activities, and gift shop. Come visit us and learn about the history of Mount A, the wildlife that calls this region home, and the work we do to help protect it!

Please note there are no indoor restrooms available to the public in the summit lodge building. Composting toilet facilities are located on the western side of the summit, next to the barn.
