Site Rules – Remember that this land is critical habitat to many of Maine’s rare plants and animals. Mount Agamenticus is unlike any place else on earth and its conservation depends on you.
Admission Fees – Seasonal admission fees are active from April 15-November 15. All fees directly support the work of the Conservation Program.
Season Passes – The purpose of the Mount Agamenticus Season Pass program is to provide an opportunity for frequent visitors to purchase calendar year access, in lieu of paying an hourly admission fee.
Groups – All organized groups and parties of ten or more people are required to fill out our Group Registration form.
The information you provide will allow us to determine applicable fees, as well as better track the activities that take place here and help ensure careful stewardship of the land. Furthermore, we will be better able to assist you plan your visit, verify that there are adequate staff and facilities (e.g. parking, restrooms, etc.) and ensure there are no conflicts with other groups or activities.
Fees are based on group size, impact and planned usage. Proceeds from Group Registration fees go directly toward the upkeep of the trails, facilities, and our educational outreach efforts.
Trails & Activities – Mount A’s trails are for hikers, bikers, and other seasonal activities such as snowshoeing. Select trails are open to equestrians and ATV riders. As you travel the trails, we hope you will discover why this place is special. To ensure long-term trail quality and to protect against erosion, trails are designated for specific uses. Trail signs, color blazes and the trail map tell which uses are permitted on each trail.
