Visitors are welcome to watch local fireworks from the summit of Mount Agamenticus on July 3rd and 4th. Gate hours will be extended until 10:00pm on both Sunday and Monday night if weather allows.
Gate will operate as normal on July 2nd and July 5th (open 6am-twilight).
Parking at the summit is limited, and gate will be closed to oncoming traffic when summit parking reaches capacity. Plan to arrive extra early for a summit spot or allow plenty of time to park at the base and walk up! Parking along Mountain Road is limited to the southern side only; please abide by all posted signage. Do not block roadways.
Important Reminders:
- The consumption of alcohol/drugs is not permitted;
- Mount A follows a Carry-in/Carry-out trash policy;
- The Mount Agamenticus Guidelines for Use prohibit the use of charcoal grills;
- The Town of York prohibits use of all consumer fireworks including but not limited to missile-type rockets, helicopter style fireworks, aerial spinners, sky rockets and bottle rockets.
