Nature Journal Club

Due to construction at the summit, the FINAL 2022 Meeting of the Mount A Nature Journal Club will be Sunday, September 18th.

What is a nature journal? Nature journaling is a creative process that integrates art, science, and nature exploration. A nature journal practice allows us to slow down, observe the world around us, and appreciate our place in it.

A Nature Journal Club is intended to be a diverse community of art makers and naturalists of all levels, who come together to connect to nature through art. Participants will develop artistic and naturalist skills and deepen their love of nature. The Mount Agamenticus Nature Journal Club is open to all ages and artistic abilities!

Join us for a casual outdoor gathering, typically on the third Sunday of each month, from 9:00-11:00am at the summit of Mount A. Dates for 2022:

  • May 15
  • June 19
  • July 17
  • August 21
  • September 18

Plan to meet at the picnic tables under the large White Oak to the west of the summit circle platform.

Advanced registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome for the rest of the season! This program is free, though on-site donations are greatly appreciated and will go toward purchasing additional community art supplies. Please plan to bring your own journal or sketchbook and your favorite journaling supplies; we will have some art supplies available for shared use.

Register here. Outside link opens in a new tab.

➤ We’ve put together a playlist on YouTube for those who would like a more in-depth introduction to Nature Journaling. We’ll be adding to it as we discover new resources!
