“Soft Opening” Scheduled for Monday, May 18th

Beginning Monday, May 18th, the Town of York will stage the initial re-opening of its beaches, parks and recreation facilities to include Mount Agamenticus. Please read post below for full details…

At that time:

  • Parking along both sides of Mountain Road will remain CLOSED;
  • The main gravel parking area at the base will re-open;
  • Parking areas at Ring East and West along access road will re-open;
  • Limited parking will be available at the summit,
  • With a small number of designated parking spaces restricted to vehicles with Town of York Parking stickers only.

York residents and property owners may purchase parking stickers by contacting the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office at 363-1003.

There will be NO amenities. Restrooms, picnic tables, trail boxes, decks/platforms, Conservation Office, and Learning Lodge will remain CLOSED.

Reminders:

Park in designated parking areas only.

  • Do not block road ways.
  • If lot is full, continue to a different location.

Shorten your visit.

  • Give others an opportunity to visit.
  • Reduce the need for restroom facilities.

Follow CDC and local guidelines.

  • No groups; practice physical distancing; leash dogs; active use only.
  • Avoid touching hard surfaces; bring hand sanitizer.

Do your part, stay safe, and help keep Mount Agamenticus open.
