Gate Hours Extended for July 4th

Update: Due to rain and fog, gate hours will NOT be extended tonight, July 3rd.

Come watch local fireworks from the summit of Mount Agamenticus on July 3rd and 4th. Gate hours will be extended until 10:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday night if weather allows.

SATURDAY, July 3rd –
Portsmouth NH: 9:15pm POSTPONED
Harbor Beach, York ME: 9:00pm
Sanford ME: dusk POSTPONED

SUNDAY, July 4th –
Dover NH: 9:15pm
Hampton Beach NH: 9:30pm
Old Orchard Beach ME: 9:45pm
Short Sands Beach, York ME: 9:30pm CANCELLED

Parking at the summit is limited, and gate will be closed to oncoming traffic when summit parking reaches capacity. Plan to arrive extra early for a summit spot or allow plenty of time to park at the base and walk up! Parking along Mountain Road is limited to the southern side only; please abide by all posted signage. Do not block roadways.

Important Reminders:

  • The Mount Agamenticus Guidelines for Use prohibit the use of charcoal grills;
  • The consumption of alcohol/drugs is not permitted;
  • Mount A follows a Carry-in/Carry-out trash policy;
  • The Town of York prohibits use of all consumer fireworks including but not limited to missile-type rockets, helicopter style fireworks, aerial spinners, sky rockets and bottle rockets.
