Practicing Social Distancing at Mount A

1428

To keep the public and employees safe and to do our part to slow the spread of Covid-19, the Mount Agamenticus Lodge and Offices are closed. All programs, events and volunteer workdays have been postponed indefinitely.

Perhaps now more than ever, it is vital that we are able to keep the Mount Agamenticus park and trails OPEN. We understand this land is an important community resource that provides opportunities for healthy outdoor recreation, relief from cabin fever, and offers healing nature connections. Plus, spring is a fantastic time of year to get outside and enjoy some fresh air!

Visitors are reminded to follow precautionary guidance issued and kept up to date by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention when recreating in the outdoors. This includes practicing social distancing and maintaining at least six feet between other visitors and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Portable restroom facilities have been opened, and visitors are advised to bring alcohol-based hand sanitizers as water is not available for hand washing.

Moreover, we are urging visitors to do your part to help keep Mount A OPEN during this time. We please ask that you help protect this important resource and abide by ALL Park Rules including:

• Park in designated areas only.
• Stay on designated trails.
• Keep DOGS on LEASH.
• Take ALL trash with you; this includes pet waste!

Don’t forget, you can enjoy a walk or telecommute from more public preserves or trails provided by our partners!
