Small Group Guided Activities for Fall

1706

Is your family, quarantine “pod,” or homeschool group looking for a fun, outdoor learning activity this fall? We have some staff-led options available at Mount A for small groups of up to twelve people.

Physically distanced small group offerings are available from September through November (or until the snow flies!) Activities will take place outside and may be dependent on weather, as indicated below. If your group is comfortable with a rainy Sensory Walk or Tree ID, our staff will still be happy to guide you!

Program Options:

  • Visual Fall Scavenger Hunt & Sensory Walk
  • Tree Identification Walk
  • Summit Story Time [rain date recommended]
  • Interactive Watershed Model (hands-on activity with 6 active participant slots) [rain date recommended]

If you are interested in scheduling one of the above activities, or if you’d like more details about a particular program, please fill out our Group Registration form at least a week in advance of your desired visit date to better ensure staff availability. We’ll follow up as soon as we can with additional program details, guidelines for safety, and information about pricing. Program sessions run between 30 minutes to an hour (depending on group size, ages, and engagement), and cost $40 per session.

Masks are required for all guided program participants ages 2 and older. Please do not register for a staff-led program if you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask. No cost, self-guided options are available if you’d like to add an educational component to your Mount A visit; feel free to reach out via our Contact form, and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

Deposits are not required, and payment should be made on the day of your visit; please do not show up to a program if anyone in your group is sick. We are happy to reschedule you if we’re able!
