Summer Stroll and Tree ID at the Center for Wildlife

1091

Date and Time: Saturday, August 13 | 10am-12pm
Location: The Center for Wildlife (375 Mountain Road/Cape Neddick, ME)

Join us at the Center for Wildlife for a live animal meet and greet with the Center’s porcupine ambassador Henry followed by a tree ID walk!

Come and learn about Henry’s favorite foods like black birch, oak, hemlock, maple and acorns. Then, follow CFW and Mount A staff on a guided beginner tree ID hike to learn more about our local tree species. We will take a close look at leaf evidence, bark, buds, seeds and more to learn the basics of tree identification.

Registration is required (outside link opens in a new tab). All proceeds from our joint programs with the Center for Wildlife help fund the work of wildlife and environmental conservation conducted by our two organizations!
