Due to low registration numbers, July’s meeting has been cancelled. Join us August 19th from 6-8pm for our next session! Please note that registration for this program is required. Thank you!

Program Date and Time: Third Thursday of the month from July-October, 6-8pm
Location: Mount Agamenticus Summit (21 Mount Agamenticus Road, York ME 03909 – Driving Directions)

Nature journaling is a creative process that integrates art, science, and nature exploration! Join us for our first Nature Journal Club meeting at Mount Agamenticus to learn how to create and keep your very own nature journal.

We will start our program inside the Lodge for an introductory workshop, then move outside for our first journaling session. Linger after our session to enjoy the sunset!

A Nature Journal Club is intended to be a diverse community of art makers and naturalists of all levels, who come together to connect to nature through art. Participants will develop artistic and naturalist skills and deepen their love of nature. The Mount Agamenticus Nature Journal Club is open to ages and artistic abilities and is a great program for families!

Meetings will typically occur on the third Thursday evening of each month from July-October, and will involve short hikes or walks, species identification, and hands-on technique workshops. Dates and times will likely change as the weather cools and the days get shorter.

At this time, we are limited to 20 people for each session. Registration is required (outside link will open in a new tab).

A suggested donation of $5/person can be made on site. Please plan to bring your own journal or sketchbook and your favorite journaling supplies; we will have some art supplies available for use. Donations of supplies are always welcome!

Masks will be required during the indoor portion of the program for all participants.
